Marshall Carder has nearly 30 years of experience in production, marketing and sales of food products to large feeding operations. He has spent the past decade exclusively in Child Nutrition. From the days as a fresh faced teenager working out of a distribution warehouse inExeter, CA. to pioneering healthy products as a concerned parent and conscientious business owner, Marshall has the expertise to “get it done” in this industry.
My philosophy is that proper nutrition comes from the loving daily preparation of fresh wholesome foods. There are no secrets or shortcuts. We can make a huge difference in the lives of the children that we serve by offering them real foods and educating them about the long-term benefits of eating right. Back to Basics means returning to the natural, fundamental foods that built this great nation. Family, friends and Great food are what makes life worth living.

Cyriaque LaCroix
Cyriaque LaCroixPresident
Growing up in Provence, the most famous food region of France, Cyriaque has a fundamental understanding of the real, basic foods that made his country the envy of gourmets everywhere. Opening a package, popping it in a microwave, and then waiting for the bell to ring is a foreign concept in a region where everything is locally grown, picked fresh and prepared daily. For Cyriaque, Back to Basics means offering our nation’s children a taste of what he experienced as a child.

For the past five years Cyriaque has dedicated himself to the Child Nutrition profession, working diligently to bring healthier food options to our cafeterias. He brings a unique blend of continental charm and common sense to an industry where both are much needed. His hard work, persistence and efficiency has made him a favorite among his clients.

Good health does not come from a box or a bottle but from sound nutrition and exercise. Our nation’s children are our most precious natural resource. We owe it to them to teach them how to eat properly and to offer them the right food options. One third of of our nation’s youth is expected to contract Type II Diabetes, a disease that is fully preventable and unheard of in children in generations past. In fact, it was formerly known as Adult Onset Diatbetes because kids never got it.

The foods that we offer our children are directly responsible for their current general poor state of health. The multitude of additives, preservatives, trans fats, dyes, free-glutamates, simple carbohydrates that comprise today’s nutrient poor food offerings have created millions of children that are simply shadows of their true potential. By giving them wholesome, basic foods we can nuture this generation back to health. After all they are our future!

Our Mission is to offer a full line of wholesome food choices for the National School Lunch Program that are free from chemical preservatives and superfluous harmful additives.
We are committed to working with Food Administrators around the country to tackle the problem of childhood obesity and its related ailments through the provision of healthy food options and nutrition education.
